⚠️ If you accidentally tapped "Block", Chrome will not ask again automatically.
1
Check Chrome site settings
In Chrome, tap the lock icon (🔒) in the address bar → Site settings → Notifications → change to Allow. Then refresh the page.
2
Check Android system notifications
Go to Android Settings → Apps → Chrome → Notifications → make sure notifications are enabled for Chrome.

If DND is on, notifications may be silenced. Check Settings → Sound → Do Not Disturb.

Step 1 — Install PingWing (Required for Alerts)

⚠️ On iPhone and iPad, push notifications only work when PingWing is installed to your Home Screen and opened from there — not from Safari directly. Requires iOS 16.4 or later.
Don't want to install the app? Link Telegram instead — it works on any iPhone without any setup and delivers alerts instantly.
1
Open PingWing in Safari
Must use Safari — Chrome and other browsers on iOS cannot add to Home Screen.
2
Tap the Share button
Tap the Share icon — it looks like a box with an upward arrow (↑) — at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, or at the top on iPad.
3
Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll down in the Share sheet until you see Add to Home Screen. Tap it.
4
Tap "Add" to confirm
PingWing icon PingWing will appear on your Home Screen like a native app.

Step 2 — Enable Push Notifications

Always open PingWing from your Home Screen icon, not from Safari, for notifications to work.
1
Open PingWing from your Home Screen
Tap the PingWing icon you just added. It must be opened this way — not through Safari.
2
Sign in and go to Account
Sign in with Google, then tap Account → Enable under Browser Notifications.
3
Tap "Allow" when prompted
iOS will ask permission to send notifications. Tap Allow.

General troubleshooting

I enabled notifications but I'm not getting alerts

Check the following:

  1. Go to Account and confirm your device is listed as subscribed.
  2. Use the Test button — if you receive the test, the setup is correct and alerts will come at the scheduled times.
  3. Alerts are sent at specific times relative to your flight (e.g. 24h before, 2h before departure). Check the My Flights page to see your flight is tracked.
  4. Make sure the device that received the subscription is the same one you're flying with. You can link multiple devices from the Account page.
I get a "notifications are blocked" message
You previously denied notification permission. Browsers remember this and won't ask again automatically.

To unblock: click the lock icon 🔒 in the address bar → Site settings / Notifications → change from Block to Allow. Refresh the page and try again from Account.

Notifications stopped after I updated my browser
Browser updates sometimes reset push subscriptions. Go to Account, click Disable then Enable again, and confirm the permission prompt.
I want alerts on multiple devices
Open PingWing in each browser or device you want to receive alerts on, sign in with the same Google account, and enable notifications on each one. All linked devices appear on your Account page.
Do I need to keep PingWing open?
No. Once you've enabled notifications, alerts are delivered by your browser's push service even when PingWing is closed. You do need to have the browser running in the background (it doesn't need to be the active window).
